We’re proud to acknowledge the four certified learners–Kaylou Tebo, Sam LaRose, Emmanuel Earth, and Anthony Medina (not pictured)–for successfully completing the Legacy Learning Program!

This cohort gained hands-on skills in construction, carpentry, plumbing, and electrical by completing projects like demoing old cabinets and building a new deck for the Ho-Chunk Farms offices.

The program’s expansion from 8 to 25 weeks allows for more practical experience, classroom time, and the chance to connect with local resources like the Winnebago Tribe of Nebraska’s Career and Technical Education and Higher Education Programs. Through resume building, job applications, and providing work boots, tool belts, and tools, we’re helping eliminate barriers to employment and create new pathways to career success.

A special thanks to our Legacy Learning instructors, Vincent and Greg Bass, for their continued dedication and the invaluable knowledge they share with each cohort.

Our goal goes beyond skills training as we aim to identify barriers and provide opportunities that set our Legacy Learners up for success outside of the program.
