February 24, 2017, Sioux City, IA – Annette Hamilton, Ho-Chunk, Inc. Vice President and Chief Operating Officer, was named to the Board of Directors of the District 10 – Kansas City, Omaha Branch of the Federal Reserve Bank.

As the central bank of the United States, the Federal Reserve System conducts the nation's monetary policy and helps to maintain a stable financial system. Three key components of the Federal Reserve System--the Federal Reserve Board of Governors (Board of Governors), the Federal Reserve Banks (Reserve Banks), and the Federal Open Market Committee (FOMC)--interact to accomplish these goals.

Reserve Bank boards of directors help maintain effective oversight of Reserve Banks and ensure that Reserve Banks operate smoothly. Directors also assist the Federal Reserve's monetary policy responsibilities by advising their Reserve Bank presidents on monetary policy and discount rate recommendations, providing economic information to help inform the Board of Governors in Washington, and acting as a link between the Federal Reserve and the private sector.

“It’s truly an honor to be selected to serve on the Federal Reserve Board, lending my financial experience in the business world to assist with the economic success of our nation’s financial system,” said Hamilton.

Hamilton joined Ho-Chunk, Inc. in 2001.  In her role as COO, Hamilton oversees the daily operations of more than 30 Ho-Chunk, Inc. subsidiary companies.  She is responsible for strategic planning, budgeting, forecasting and corporate acquisitions and expansion.
