Ho-Chunk, Inc. construction company performs work on Offutt Air Force Base 

Winnebago, NE, January 25, 2007 – HCI Construction, a subsidiary of Ho-Chunk, Inc. headquartered in Winnebago, Nebraska was recently awarded a contract from the Air Combat Command, Department of the Air Force, for electrical repairs to Guard Shacks B5/B6 at Offutt Air Force Base, Nebraska.

Under the contract, HCI Construction will provide infrastructure to power portable guard trailers located on the aircraft parking ramp which will house military personnel twenty-four hours seven days a week for the purpose of providing security for aircraft which are parked on the ramps on continuous ready status.

Offutt Air Force Base, Nebraska is home of the 55th Wing, the largest wing in Air Combat Command and the second largest in the Air Force, as well as a variety of tenant units. The mission of the Air Combat Command supports global implementation of national security strategy, and operates fighter, bomber, reconnaissance, battle-management and electronic-combat aircraft. It also provides command, control, communications and intelligence systems, and conducts global information operations.

            “All of us at HCI Construction are proud to perform services for the Department of the Air Force, Air Combat Command on this contract, “ said HCI Construction Manager, Tom Koob. “This is a unique opportunity to provide Offutt Air Force Base with the necessary resources and tools to support the mission of our United States Air Force as well as national security efforts,” Koob said.

HCI Construction offices are located in South Sioux City, Nebraska, with corporate headquarters in Winnebago, Nebraska and a federal contracts office in Bellevue, Nebraska. HCI Construction provides general contracting and construction management services, as well as coordination of various trade subcontractors to assure that project goals are met. HCI Construction has received SBA 8(a) status and has been awarded the SBA Hub Zone designation.
