United States Army awards HCI Construction with Fort Riley Contract

Winnebago, NE, March 8, 2007 – HCI Construction, a subsidiary of Ho-Chunk, Inc. headquartered in Winnebago, Nebraska was recently awarded a contract for a design/build project consisting of renovations to a Tactical Equipment Shop, designated as Building 8300, at the United States Army’s Fort Riley, Kansas installation.

Under the contract, HCI Construction will furnish all analyses, design, procurement, installation, plant, labor, equipment, materials and transportation and perform all required work to provide a complete and usable building following the renovation. The building will remain occupied during the renovations and HCI Construction will coordinate all work activities with the building occupant.

Fort Riley, Kansas is the home to the 1st Infantry Division of the United States Army, also known as the “The Big Red 1.” Fort Riley’s mission includes working in close partnership with local, regional and state communities to provide trained and ready forces to meet Joint Force requirements across the full spectrum of current and future operations; transforms and manages unit readiness as directed by the Army Campaign Plan; executes unit re-stationing as directed by FORSCOM; executes garrison operations as directed by Installation Management Command, and conducts homeland defense operations and supports civil authorities.

HCI Construction offices are located in South Sioux City, Nebraska, with corporate headquarters in Winnebago, Nebraska and a federal contracts office in Bellevue, Nebraska. Using the latest management tools, HCI Construction provides general contracting and construction management services, as well as coordination of various trade subcontractors to assure that project goals are met.

HCI Construction is one of sixteen subsidiaries of Ho-Chunk, Inc., the economic development corporation of the Winnebago Tribe of Nebraska, whose mission is to develop long-term economic growth for the Tribe through the creation of business enterprises and jobs.
