Jan Swanson of Blue Earth Marketing Wins Advertising Federation Silver Medal Award
Winnebago, Nebraska -- Jan Swanson, of Blue Earth Marketing was honored with the Silver Medal, from the Advertising Federation of Sioux City during the 2007 Addy Awards Banquet, held in Sioux City, Iowa on February 24th. The Silver Medal is the lifetime achievement award presented by the Ad Federation of Sioux City.
The prestigious Silver Medal is the highest recognition that can be bestowed upon an individual by the Advertising Federation of Sioux City, and honors Swanson’s more than 20 years of service and contributions to the advertising profession. Swanson, who serves as Agency Services Coordinator for Blue Earth Marketing has been actively involved with the Advertising Federation for years, serving on various committees and as an officer on the local, district and national levels, including serving as Governor of the 9th District and on the National Council of Governors. The 9th District is composed of Ad Clubs in Iowa, Nebraska, Missouri and Kansas. Swanson currently serves on the National Addy Committee for the National Addy Awards ceremony.
Swanson’s responsibilities at Blue Earth Marketing include all media research and planning for the agency; coordination of client media and marketing jobs; client service and supervision of media and marketing operations. Before joining Blue Earth Marketing Swanson was most recently with Chesterman Company of Sioux City as Media Director. Swanson began her advertising career with a local radio station, later moving to an agency as Media Buyer. She was also Media Director for several years at Mach II Marketing and Media Concepts of Sioux City.
